Another Siemens' health company moves into FTZ

Siemens Healthineers’s new subsidiary -- Siemens (Shanghai) Experimental System Ltd -- officially started operations in Shanghai's Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone this month.
The company has invested US$149.5 million in the business and it has registered capital of US$59.8 million. It mainly develops, produces, and sells medical laboratory diagnosis equipment.
The investment is the second largest by Siemens in the in vitro diagnosis business. It’s also the third time a major Siemens Healthineer subsidiary has been located in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao FTZ.
China is the company's second-largest medical market and is considered a strategic priority as a production base and innovation center.
Siemens Healthiness is one of the largest providers of global medical solutions, including medical imaging, laboratory diagnosis, and health information technology.
